Africa's economic potential, coupled with a surge in digital technology adoption across social and business spheres, sets the stage for explosive growth on the continent. However, challenges loom large. The recent Africa Tech Festival, the continent's premier tech event, brought these issues to the forefront, attracting a diverse array of participants, including C-suite tech and telco leaders, influential investors, superstar founders, and top government officials. From November 13 to 16, 2023, the festival drew in a staggering 13,000 attendees, transforming the city into a tech hub.

The festival provided a dynamic platform for showcasing the latest breakthroughs and cutting-edge innovations in telecommunications, pioneering technology, and Africa's vibrant startup ecosystem. According to participants, businesses across the continent are reaping immense benefits from bypassing traditional technology in favour of embracing the digital world and wireless connectivity. This transformative shift is driving remarkable growth, as evidenced by the buzz at the event held in the Mother City.

 Representing Storm Warning cybersecurity at the festival was Dr Zoran Mitrovic, actively engaging in sessions covering cybersecurity, Big Data analytics, AI advancements, and Cloud computing innovations. Dr Mitrovic explored the event's exhibition, establishing connections with both South African and overseas companies.

 While cybersecurity remains pivotal for safeguarding organisational and national digital assets, it became evident that awareness among continental business leaders is not yet at an optimal level. In response, Storm Warning took a proactive role in raising awareness during the festival, sparking interest in collaboration. We are delighted to contribute to enhancing the security posture of South African and African companies, reinforcing our commitment to a safer digital future.
